The observatory describes. It doesn't recommend, advise, or forecast. Readers are trusted to draw their own conclusions from the record.
Quietness
The presentation is restrained on purpose. Calm typography, low contrast, and the absence of marketing furniture are part of the editorial position, not decoration.
Permanence
Entries are written to be readable in a decade. The archive is the primary artifact; the homepage is only its most recent surface.
