about

An observatory, not a publication.

Drift Observatory is an independent record of slow-moving operational and governance drift across modern technology ecosystems. It is vendor-neutral, non-commercial, and written at a deliberate distance from the news cycle.

What it is

A small, structured archive of observations on platform dependency, trust erosion, AI operational signals, ecosystem consolidation, and the organizational blind spots that accompany them. The output is divided into three kinds: signals (short), patterns (longer), and notes (methodological).

What it is not

Not a news site, not a vendor blog, not a thought-leadership channel, not a place for predictions. The observatory does not chase events. It records the slower forces beneath them.

How it is written

Restrained, vendor-neutral, observational. Where possible, claims are drawn from public filings, incident records, and primary documents. Where they are not, they are presented as observations rather than conclusions.

Cadence

Irregular and deliberate. Entries are published when an observation has settled enough to be worth recording — and not before.
