editorial standards
What is published, and what is not.
A short statement of the editorial constraints the observatory holds itself to. These are not aspirations — they are the conditions an observation must satisfy before it is recorded.
Independence
No sponsored entries, no affiliate arrangements, no paid placements, no embargoed previews. The observatory has no commercial relationship with any organization it observes.
Vendor neutrality
Vendors are named when naming them is necessary to the observation. They are not framed as heroes or villains. The subject is the drift, not the actor.
Sourcing
Claims are grounded in public filings, incident records, regulatory documents, and primary statements where possible. Secondary reporting is used carefully and attributed. Speculation is labeled as such.
Restraint
The observatory does not publish to a schedule. Entries appear when an observation has settled. Drafts that do not settle are not published.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place with a dated note. Entries are not silently revised. Withdrawn observations remain in the archive, marked as such.
